Grassroots Football Coach

I have now started the FA Introduction to Coaching Football course, I've had the first of three Webinars and have completed the week one modules. It was interesting to hear the FA coaches talking about how to get your players to fall in love with football, fortunately for us I think all of our girls are already in love with playing football. There were also some great ideas for training sessions and we were told where to find some useful resources. Only two more weeks to go then I have to pass an assessment to complete the course and be an FA qualified football coach.

We also played another friendly against a team from another possible league we could join. We had 11 girls from the new team playing along with the goalkeeper from our other team. We ended up playing 10 v 10 as the opposition only had 10 players. We had two players playing their first match who both played well and one of them scored. In the end we lost 2-1, but it was great to see the girls playing well together and it looks like we might be in for a good season next season.
